Bandai Namco, Japanese video game publisher, finally unveiled a brand new logo after initially announcing the change late last year.

Bandai Namco Holdings Inc., founded in 2005 after a merger between video game company, Namco, and toy manufacturer, Bandai, is Japan’s biggest video game publisher, known for titles like Pac-Man, Tekken, Gundam, and Dark Souls.

Along with video games, the company also specializes in merchandise, anime, and amusement parks. The company also provides a wide variety of arcade machines to arcades and movie theaters worldwide.

Bandai Namco Holdings is organized into six distinct product lines: Network Entertainment (video games), Real Entertainment (amusement parks), Visual and Music Production, IP Creation (anime and music), Toys and Hobby (toys), and Affiliated Business.

Headquartered in Tokyo’s Minato district, it also has bases in Santa Clara, California, and Lyon France. The company is also the world’s second biggest toymaker behind LEGO.

According to the company’s official website, “The new logo’s speech bubble motif, “Fukidashi” in Japanese, expresses the potential of the brand to connect with people around the world and inspire them with amazing ideas. The speech bubble also represents Japan’s manga culture that has become so popular everywhere.” Additionally, “The logo stands for our determination to communicate with fans worldwide, to connect with our fans, and to create entertainment unique to Bandai Namco.”
