The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) serves as the global representative voice of workers, committed to defending and promoting their rights and interests through international solidarity and advocacy. Established to strengthen cooperation among various trade unions, the ITUC focuses on key issues such as trade union and human rights, economic equity, social justice, and sustainable development.

The ITUC’s work is structured around several specialized departments, including Campaigns and Organising, which delivers strategic support for cross-sector initiatives; Communications, responsible for public messaging; and Economic and Social Policy, which emphasizes the importance of decent work and fundamental rights within global governance. Additionally, the organization promotes equality initiatives addressing gender and youth inclusion in the workforce.

Governed by a General Council and regional organizations, the ITUC collaborates with major global entities like the International Labour Organisation to advocate for workers’ rights worldwide, ensuring a unified approach to addressing labor issues and fostering a fairer economy.
