Jal Shakti

Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is an initiative by the Indian government aimed at providing safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections to all rural households. Operated by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, JJM focuses on improving the quality of life in rural areas by ensuring the sustainable provision of clean water. The mission prioritizes monitoring various aspects such as physical and financial progress, water quality, and the status of water supply schemes in schools and public institutions.
